I can’t quite believe that More Diverse Voices incorporated 8 months ago.

What I LOVE about building a business is how things evolve and grow over time. How you build a body of work, credibility, a brand, a tone of voice, processes and ways of doing things. How you take something you created on your kitchen table and slowly see it turn into something creating real impact for a group of incredible clients.

But I ALSO love taking time to reflect and pause. To grow intentionally, not rapidly. In April (as a number of client projects came to close) I found that I had a bit time to do this. I collated impact data, reflected on our positioning and took some time off to recharge.

Below is a summary of what our impact since launch, our new website, client case studies and what I’ve been writing/speaking about. Enjoy!

Our impact so far:

  • Helped 4 organisations secure 150 pieces of media coverage including: Time Out, GQ, The London Evening Standard, The Independent, Private Equity News, CityWire and TechRound.
  • Written over 30,000 words for clients, in the form of 2 reports, 1 e-learning course, 6 press releases, 2 website copy updates and 2 blog posts
  • Conducted 3 inclusive language audits
  • Led 7 inclusive communication workshops for 200+ people
  • Worked with 11 clients building a more diverse and inclusive work
  • Posted 35 times on Linkedin, written 5 blogs, 2 opinion piece, completed 2 interviews and appeared in 2 videos

Brand new website, brand new look:

New website
A fresh look: More Diverse Voices’ new website

Working with my incredibly talented partner Matthew Cook, we redesigned More Diverse Voices website, logo and branding.

I love yellow – it’s the colour of  freshness, happiness, positivity, clarity, energy, optimism, enlightenment, remembrance, intellect, honour, loyalty, joy and communication – but wanted to add a little bit more personality to the brand and couldn’t resist a little bit of teal, pink and off white.

The services page (where you can read a little bit more about what MDV offer) and our case studies have also been updated.

Check out our fresh look here 👉 https://www.morediversevoices.com/

A massive thank you to Matt for building this beautiful website from scratch. You are a legend.

Our voice: blog posts, press and speaking engagements

✍️ I wrote a piece for the social enterprise publication Pioneers Post exploring how to build an inclusive business that investors will love. The piece explores everything from building a team to building a team and inclusive culture to designing products, services and communication strategies with inclusion in mind.

📣 I published the second part of my Inclusive Communication series. This blog explored the concept of ethical storytelling, bias and the impact of the data gap.

💻 To support the launch of More Diverse Voices’ course on Bua’s e-learning platform, I wrote about the importance of breaking down barriers for creative neurodiverse talent

🙏🏻 Both Nesta and PensionBee mentioned More Diverse Voices work in blog posts outlining what both firms are doing to bolster their diversity, inclusion and equity strategies.

🧑🏻🏫 I led a one hour workshop for the Warrior Women Network’s, exploring practical steps to make communications more inclusive and accessible.
