Power, privilege and intersectionality  

Power: is a person’s ability to exert influence and control, essentially their ability to get things done. Every situation we walk into is shaped by power. Depending on the environment or someone’s identity some people hold more power, while others have less. 

What are the negative impacts of bias?

Not only does bias affect things like hiring practices, promotions, remuneration and access to opportunities at work, but it’s also baked into everything from our healthcare and the justice systems to the built environment and technology.

Why neurodiverse thinkers make outstanding social entrepreneurs

When you hear “entrepreneur” – what words and images come to mind?? 

Creative? Problem solver? Lateral thinker? Innovation? Drive? A room full of messy post-it notes? A slick pitch that enthrals investors?

Now, what about “social entrepreneur”? 

Probably the above words, plus things like empathy, community and positive change.
